Job Description
Cadmus is seeking a highly skilled Senior Product Designer to elevate the user experience of its innovative assessment platform, which serves millions of students and educators. This role is crucial for transforming complex institutional workflows into intuitive, beautiful, and engaging interfaces.
You will be instrumental in shaping the product's aesthetic and perceived value, leading the evolution of the Cadmus design system. Your work will inject delight into academic workflows and ensure that high-fidelity designs are flawlessly implemented by engineering teams.

Required Skills
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the evolution of the Cadmus design system, enhancing visual polish, type hierarchy, and spatial layout.
- Transform dry academic workflows into visually stunning and rewarding user experiences.
- Work closely with engineers to ensure precise implementation of visual intentions, from micro-interactions to layout details.
- Balance high craft with pragmatic shipping, delivering polished and practical improvements.
- Conduct user research to surface non-obvious insights and solve complex usability problems.
- Own core platform areas end-to-end, raising the aesthetic and interaction bar across the Cadmus ecosystem.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience designing complex SaaS, B2B2C, or premium prosumer digital products.
- Impeccable visual taste with a strong understanding of typography, grid systems, and layout.
- A portfolio showcasing live, shipped products with exceptional attention to detail, modern UI aesthetics, and micro-interactions.
- A systems thinker with expertise in component architecture and scalable design systems.
- Mastery of information architecture for data-dense interfaces.
- Strong product judgment and the ability to make deliberate trade-offs.
- Deep understanding of front-end development principles (HTML/CSS) and technical constraints.
- Ability to collaborate closely with engineering teams.
