Job Description

Solution SFT is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst to join a critical project within the public sector in Quebec City. This role offers a remote work arrangement, with the possibility of on-site presence required upon 10 days' notice.

Your primary responsibilities will encompass the security of infrastructure, protection of information, and safeguarding of identities. This includes monitoring systems for anomalies and potential threats, investigating security breaches and incidents, and conducting regular penetration tests to identify and remediate vulnerabilities before they can be exploited.

You will be instrumental in developing and implementing robust security solutions, ensuring the protection of IT infrastructure and preventing data breaches. This role also involves updating IT security policies and diagnosing/resolving complex technical issues.

Key deliverables include risk analyses, incident reports, forensic analysis, malware analysis reports, recommendations, and updated documentation. You will also be responsible for developing firewall policies, SIEM rules, and secure configurations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Secure infrastructure by monitoring systems for anomalies and potential threats.
  • Detect security issues and ensure continuous system access.
  • Investigate security breaches and other cybersecurity incidents.
  • Perform regular penetration tests to identify and correct vulnerabilities.
  • Identify and isolate threats before they cause damage.

Qualifications

  • University degree (Bachelor's) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Twelve (12) years of experience in Information Technology.
  • Eight (8) years of relevant experience in operational cybersecurity within the last ten (10) years.
  • At least four (4) years of experience in penetration testing, security, and network/cloud security (offensive/defensive).
  • Three (3) years of relevant experience in cybersecurity risk analysis (compliance assessments) and incident analysis (SOC/DFIR).
  • One (1) year of practical knowledge in developing security strategies.
  • One (1) year of experience in malware analysis in a client/server environment.
