Job Description

Gigson by Devcenter is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer with extensive experience in AWS cloud environments to join their team.

This role is critical for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data infrastructure. You will be responsible for developing robust data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and optimizing data storage and retrieval processes.

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable data pipelines using AWS services.
Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes for data ingestion and transformation.
Implement data warehousing solutions and ensure data integrity and quality.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
Monitor and troubleshoot data infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and availability.
Contribute to the architectural design of data systems and platforms.
Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in data engineering.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Data Engineer, with a strong focus on AWS cloud services.
In-depth knowledge of AWS data services such as S3, Redshift, Glue, EMR, Lambda, and Kinesis.
Proficiency in programming languages like Python and SQL.
Experience with big data technologies such as Spark and Hadoop.
Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and database design.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
