Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and track outstanding invoices and overdue accounts.
  • Contact clients to negotiate repayment plans and ensure timely settlement of debts.
  • Develop and implement effective debt recovery strategies in line with company policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of all communications and recovery activities.
  • Prepare regular reports on debt recovery status for the CFO and management team.
  • Liaise with legal teams when necessary to initiate recovery actions.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients while ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Analyze payment trends and recommend improvements to credit control processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in debt recovery, credit control, or financial collections (oil & gas industry experience is an advantage).
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet recovery targets.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with financial software.
