Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous and strategic Demand Planner to join our Supply Chain team in Lagos. In this critical role, you will be responsible for all forecasting activities for assigned products, ensuring seamless integration with our supply and production planning processes.

Your core mission will be to build robust forecasts in collaboration with the sales team, drive weekly forecasting discussions to address current trends, and conduct thorough root cause analyses. You will lead the regional Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process, championing forecast accuracy and aligning stakeholders on corrective actions for future improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop operational demand forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation and time horizons.
  • Build demand forecasts in line with standard planning cycles.
  • Lead forecast review meetings with the sales team and drive cross-functional integration to achieve consensus.
  • Interact with field sales and marketing to identify and leverage demand drivers.
  • Coordinate weekly regional S&OP meetings and drive cross-functional activities to ensure customer satisfaction and perfect order deliveries (DIFOTAI).
  • Implement actions to drive weekly forecast accuracy improvements.
  • Manage stock rotation in sales locations to mitigate business losses.
  • Collaborate with Commercial Finance, Marketing, and field sales to prepare promotion plans and track their execution.
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications

  • University Degree or HND, ideally in a business-related field such as Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or Business Administration.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably within the FMCG industry.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Proven ability in results orientation and performance management.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with the ability to harness resources and teams to deliver results within set timeframes.
  • Ability to form effective working partnerships across various functions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
