Job Description

MSI Nigeria is seeking a dedicated Driver and Admin Assistant to join their team in Sokoto. This role is essential for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of staff and materials, alongside providing vital administrative support.

You will be responsible for the professional operation and upkeep of assigned vehicles, maintaining accurate records of usage and maintenance. Your administrative duties will include supporting data recording and document handling, contributing to the smooth functioning of daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive staff and authorised personnel safely and professionally.
  • Ensure the assigned vehicle is clean, roadworthy, and properly maintained at all times.
  • Report faults and follow procedures for vehicle repairs and servicing.
  • Maintain accurate vehicle logbooks, including mileage, fuel usage, and trip details.
  • Comply with organisational policies and road safety regulations.
  • Support administrative duties such as data recording and document handling.
  • Assist with recording service delivery data using organisational systems.
  • Handle collection and reconciliation of outreach-related cash when assigned.
  • Perform other duties as required by the supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Valid and clean driver’s licence.
  • Minimum of OND or equivalent qualification.
  • At least 4 years of professional driving experience.
  • Good knowledge of road safety rules and local routes.
  • Basic computer and data entry skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and relevant local languages.
  • Experience working with NGOs or development organisations is an advantage.
