Job Description

Alpha Mead Group is seeking an experienced Facility Manager with a strong Civil Engineering background to oversee and manage the structural integrity of our facilities in Asaba, Delta State. The ideal candidate will focus on identifying, analyzing, and resolving structural issues, ensuring the safety, functionality, and longevity of our buildings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the structural maintenance and integrity of all facilities under management.
  • Identify, investigate, and propose solutions for structural issues, including cracks, foundation concerns, and other building defects.
  • Conduct regular inspections, surveys, and assessments to ensure building safety and compliance with engineering standards.
  • Coordinate with contractors, artisans, and service providers for repairs, renovations, and preventive maintenance.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to prevent structural deterioration.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in all maintenance activities.
  • Prepare reports and recommendations for facility improvements, risk mitigation, and budget planning.
  • Liaise with management on technical requirements, cost estimates, and project timelines.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of work done by vendors and contractors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in facility management or building maintenance, with focus on structural issues.
  • Strong knowledge of structural engineering, building codes, and preventive maintenance.
  • Experience managing contractors and technical teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to prepare technical reports and communicate recommendations clearly.
  • Knowledge of HSE regulations and standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and any facility management software is an advantage.
