Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Team Lead, QHSSE to oversee and enhance safety protocols within our transportation operations. This role is pivotal in developing and implementing robust safety policies and procedures, ensuring strict adherence to federal, state, and local transportation safety regulations.

Your responsibilities will include conducting comprehensive safety audits and inspections of facilities, vehicles, and processes, as well as investigating accidents and incidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions. You will also be responsible for training drivers and employees on transportation safety, including the proper handling of hazardous materials.

The ideal candidate will possess proven experience as an HSE Coordinator in a transportation company, with strong strategic leadership and interpersonal skills. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities are essential, as is the capacity to build effective relationships with external agencies.

Qualifications

  • Proven working experience as an HSE Coordinator in a transportation company or related industry.
  • Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills.
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships with external agencies (LASTMA, LAMATA, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of transportation safety regulations.
