Job Description

While many organizations have embraced the cloud, complex and mission-critical workloads often demand the precision, control, and resilience that only on-premise infrastructure can provide. C-Serv is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer with extensive experience in building and operating enterprise-grade platform services outside of public cloud environments.

This role is ideal for someone who can bring cloud-like capabilities, such as EMR, S3, Lambda, and SQS, into on-premise and hybrid settings. You will thrive in a role where deep technical expertise and hands-on management are crucial, moving beyond simple provisioning.

Key Responsibilities

Design, deploy, and operate enterprise-grade platform services across on-premise and hybrid cloud environments.
Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code pipelines using Terraform, ArgoCD, and GitHub Actions, implementing GitOps discipline.
Run and scale Kubernetes clusters at an advanced level, including cluster administration, networking, and security.
Set up and manage Big Data infrastructure on-premise (Hadoop, EMR-equivalent) to deliver expected analytical power.
Architect and operate distributed storage systems (MinIO, S3-compatible) and distributed caching layers (Redis, Memcached) in production.
Build and maintain a full observability stack including OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki for operational visibility.

Qualifications

Proven production experience bringing cloud-like capabilities (EMR, S3, Lambda, SQS equivalents) to on-premise solutions.
Hands-on experience setting up Big Data infrastructure on-premise (e.g., Hadoop, EMR on bare metal).
Infrastructure as Code expertise: Terraform, ArgoCD, and GitHub Actions.
Strong GitOps and pipeline automation skills.
Advanced Kubernetes skills including cluster administration.
Production experience with distributed storage infrastructure (MinIO / S3-alike).
Production experience with distributed cache infrastructure (Redis, Memcached).
Solid grounding in observability: OpenTelemetry, Prometheus + Grafana, and Loki.
Experience managing local artifact registries (Nexus or similar) is preferred.
Hypervisor and OS-level troubleshooting and performance analysis is preferred.
Backup and recovery strategies for distributed data systems is preferred.
Capacity analysis and scalability forecasting is preferred.
