Dangote Industries Limited is seeking a diligent and analytical Insurance Analyst to join our team in Lagos. This role is pivotal in managing and optimizing the insurance portfolio for the entire Dangote Group, encompassing both general and life insurance. You will be responsible for ensuring the best quality data is gathered to enhance our insurance strategies and support a coordinated risk management program.

Key Responsibilities
- Place insurance policies and manage premium payments for all Dangote Group business units, including motor insurance.
- Provide ongoing support for all insurance-related inquiries and issues within Dangote Group.
- Maintain and review all existing insurance covers, ensuring all necessary documentation is up-to-date.
- Guarantee comprehensive coverage for all Dangote Group motor insurance policies, ensuring only operational vehicles are insured.
- Implement and enforce a strict process to prevent the insurance of non-operational vehicles.
- Proactively manage reputational risk by enhancing risk activities within the Dangote Transport division.
- Administer insurance claims by reviewing and collating required information to ensure complete documentation and efficient processing.
- Submit regular reports detailing insurance activities across various business units for management review.
- Conduct periodic training sessions on insurance policies, documentation, and claims processes to improve awareness and efficiency.
- Collaborate with claim adjusters, brokers, insurers, and risk surveyors to enhance claim recovery processes.
- Follow up with brokers to ensure timely settlement of motor claims, aiming for a 10% reduction in the claims ratio.
- Provide support to Dangote Plants for the implementation of risk survey recommendations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (B.Sc.) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in an insurance-related field.
- Membership of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN) is a significant advantage.
- 2-3 years of experience working in an insurance company or insurance broking firm.
