Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Lab Manager to lead our field laboratory operations. This critical role ensures the highest standards of service quality and technical accuracy.

As Lab Manager, you will be responsible for all facets of laboratory management, including employee development, staffing, workload optimization, and cost control. You will also ensure compliance with industry testing protocols and company best practices, while interfacing with Product Service Lines (PSLs) and customers to resolve complex technical issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all facets of a field laboratory operation.
  • Oversee employee development, staffing decisions, and workload volume.
  • Manage technical projects and ensure adherence to HSE policy.
  • Control department costs.
  • Ensure laboratory compliance with industry testing protocol, company best practices, and audit requirements.
  • Interface with PSLs and customers to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Maintain a high level of service quality in the laboratory to support local field operations.

Qualifications

  • Completion of an undergraduate degree in the sciences is typical.
  • Five years of laboratory experience is typical.
  • Competence in multiple PSLs is often required.
  • Management of one or more laboratories may be necessary depending upon the scope of a district.
