Job Description
We are actively seeking a skilled and experienced Linesman with expertise in Fibre Optics to join our dedicated technical operations team. This full-time position is based in Lagos, Nigeria, and offers a challenging yet rewarding environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, meticulous maintenance, and efficient repair of fibre optic cables and associated systems. Your primary goal will be to ensure optimal network performance and provide swift responses to any service disruptions.
Key responsibilities include diagnosing faults, replacing damaged infrastructure, conducting routine inspections, and responding promptly to emergency repair needs. You will collaborate with vendors, partners, and customer service teams to resolve technical issues and maintain accurate system records.
This role requires the safe and efficient operation of power tools and equipment, strict adherence to all safety standards, and the ability to perform tasks at heights and in various outdoor field environments.

Required Skills
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair fibre optic cables, lines, and communication systems
- Diagnose faults and replace damaged or outdated fibre infrastructure
- Conduct routine inspections and scheduled maintenance activities
- Respond promptly to network faults and emergency repair needs

Qualifications
- ND or NABTEB in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in fibre optics, telecoms, or power distribution
- Hands-on experience with fibre optic installations and maintenance
- Ability to work at heights (up to 40–50 feet)
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Good teamwork and communication abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
