Job Description
Zipline is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team in Houston, Texas. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the airworthiness and operational integrity of our advanced aircraft through meticulous scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
You will adhere strictly to Zipline's Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Program (CAMP) and General Maintenance Manual (GMM), ensuring all work complies with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations. This position requires a strong foundation in mechanical, electrical, and software engineering principles, coupled with hands-on experience in mechanical and electrical integration and assembly.
Success in this role demands exceptional attention to detail, a proactive safety-oriented attitude, and the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision. You will collaborate closely with engineering, flight operations, and other departments to maintain the highest standards of aircraft safety and performance.

Required Skills
Key Responsibilities
- Adhere to and perform work in accordance with Zipline’s Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Program (CAMP).
- Perform UAS Maintenance in accordance with Zipline’s General Maintenance Manual (GMM) and Federal Aviation Administration regulations.
- Conduct scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance to ensure conformity to high standards and safe operating condition.
- Document all maintenance procedures accurately and appropriately.
- Collaborate with engineering, flight operations, and other teams to achieve assigned responsibilities.
- Utilize hand tools for precision work during maintenance and assembly.
- Travel up to 5-10% as necessary for the role.
- Support shift work, including days, evenings, and weekends.
Qualifications
- Basic engineering knowledge: mechanical, electrical, and software.
- Mechanical and electrical integration and assembly experience.
- Experience performing precision work with hand tools.
- Must be able to support shift work including days, evenings, and weekends.
- Must be able to travel 5-10%, as necessary.
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 55 pounds.
- Must have a valid U.S. Driver's License.
- Must be able to receive FAA Repairmen Certification.
- Prior experience in aircraft maintenance or a similar technician role is preferred.
- Experience in the use of manuals, training materials, and operational procedures for sUAS operations is preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills, including clear and empathetic communication with customers, and prompt resolution of inquiries and concerns.
