Required Skills
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair engines, brakes, transmissions, suspension, electrical, AC, and pneumatic systems on buses.
- Perform routine servicing and preventive maintenance to ensure fleet reliability.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and methods to identify and resolve vehicle faults.
- Ensure all repair work adheres to stringent safety and quality standards.
- Report necessary spare parts and assist with inventory control.
- Provide timely breakdown and emergency repair support.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop environment.
Qualifications
- Possession of a Trade Test Certificate or an OND/HND in Automotive Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 to 10 years of experience as a mechanic or technician.
- Demonstrated experience working with buses, trucks, or heavy-duty vehicles.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines and various vehicle systems.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing both mechanical and electrical faults.
- Experience in engine overhaul, electrical systems, or transmission is a significant advantage.
- Excellent teamwork and a positive work attitude.
