Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Electrical Support Engineer to join our engineering team. In this vital role, you will be instrumental in the maintenance and repair of vehicles, with a strong emphasis on both mechanical and electrical systems. Your expertise will support our technical lead in ensuring all vehicles are serviced, repaired, and maintained to the highest safety and performance standards.
This position offers a hands-on opportunity to contribute directly to the operational efficiency of our fleet. You will engage in diagnostics, repairs, and the implementation of preventive maintenance strategies, ensuring our vehicles remain in optimal condition.

Required Skills
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on vehicles, including diagnostics and basic electrical/mechanical repairs.
- Test, inspect, and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems.
- Ensure vehicles are restored to optimal working conditions post-maintenance.
- Maintain accurate and detailed maintenance and repair logs.
- Assist in the installation and maintenance of batteries and electrical components.
- Monitor and report battery performance issues or irregularities to the Technical Lead.
- Adhere to safe handling procedures for electrical and high-voltage components.
- Maintain workshop organization, cleanliness, and proper equipment usage.
- Track and manage inventory of parts, tools, and consumables.
- Report malfunctioning equipment, shortages, or safety hazards promptly.
- Comply with all workshop safety rules, procedures, and operational guidelines.
- Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriately.
- Identify and report potential safety risks or non-compliance issues.
- Collaborate with technicians and engineers on daily maintenance activities.
- Provide clear technical updates and feedback to the Technical Team Lead.
- Participate in team meetings, skill development sessions, and technical trainings.
- Support the implementation of new procedures and contribute to continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- National Diploma (ND), Higher National Diploma (HND), or Bachelor’s Degree in Automobile Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 1–2 years of hands-on experience in the automobile industry, with exposure to both mechanical and electrical systems.
- Experience working with or maintaining electric or hybrid vehicles is an advantage.
- Strong technical knowledge of vehicle mechanical and electrical systems, including diagnostics and repair.
- Ability to use basic diagnostic tools, electrical meters, and workshop equipment.
- Good understanding of preventive maintenance and safety procedures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and reporting skills.
- High level of attention to detail.
