Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Backend Developer to join our dynamic team in Lagos. You will be instrumental in building and maintaining scalable backend systems, collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams, and contributing to the development of high-performance applications across various sectors.

Your primary responsibilities will involve participating in the full application lifecycle, with a strong focus on coding and debugging. You will develop clean, efficient, and reusable code for web applications, troubleshoot and upgrade existing systems, and perform rigorous testing to optimize application performance.

Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with Frontend Developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic. You will also gather and address technical and design requirements, build reusable code and libraries for future use, and liaise with developers, designers, and system administrators to identify new features.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications

B.Sc./HND in Computer Science or related field
Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Backend Developer
Proficiency in JavaScript or Java (Spring Boot)
Experience with RESTful APIs
Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases
Familiarity with Git and version control
Experience with GraphQL
Knowledge of Docker, CI/CD, or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Understanding of secure coding practices
