Job Description
Toasties Limited is seeking a dedicated Cashier to join our fast-paced dining restaurant chain in Lagos. You will be responsible for receiving and processing customer payments accurately, whether by cash, card, transfer, or POS.
Your role will also involve taking and processing customer orders, issuing receipts, and engaging customers through upselling and suggestive selling to enhance sales and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
- Receive and process customer payments (cash, card, transfer, or POS).
- Take and process customer orders accurately.
- Issue receipts, refunds, or change correctly.
- Engage customers through upselling and suggestive selling.
- Recommend additional menu items or products.
- Balance cash register at the start and end of shifts.
- Record daily transactions and maintain sales records.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve basic payment or order issues.
- Ensure proper pricing and scanning of items/orders.
- Maintain cleanliness and order at the cashier station.
- Report any discrepancies or cash shortages immediately.
- Support general customer service operations when needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Cashier or in a similar customer-facing role.
- Proficiency in handling cash and processing various payment methods.
- Familiarity with POS systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
