Key Responsibilities
- Assist customers in selecting appropriate furniture, lighting, décor, rugs, and accessories tailored to their space and budget
- Provide professional interior styling and design recommendations to clients
- Develop compelling room concepts, mood boards, color combinations, and product selections
- Assist with strategic space planning, furniture placement, and layout recommendations
- Translate diverse customer requirements into suitable and innovative design solutions
- Accurately take and interpret room measurements to recommend appropriately sized items
- Prepare detailed product recommendations and quotations for clients
- Proactively follow up with prospects and assist in converting consultations into sales
- Guide customers through selections of materials, finishes, colors, fabrics, and complementary pieces
- Support interior design projects for various settings, including homes, offices, shortlets, and lounges
- Conduct site visits to project locations for measurements, consultations, or assessments
- Collaborate effectively with sales, logistics, procurement, and installation teams to ensure smooth project execution
- Maintain strong knowledge of products, specifications, and design applications
- Stay updated on the latest interior design and home décor trends
- Maintain professional communication throughout the consultation and purchase process
Qualifications
- A Degree, Diploma, or relevant qualification in Interior Design, Architecture, Interior Architecture, Fine Arts, or a related field is an advantage
- Previous experience in interior design, furniture, home décor, architecture, or a related field is preferred
- Possess a strong sense of color, proportion, furniture placement, and visual aesthetics
- Ability to understand room dimensions and perform basic space planning
- Good communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Strong customer service and relationship-management skills
- Ability to confidently recommend products and contribute to sales objectives
- Creative, organized, detail-oriented, and solution-driven mindset
- Basic knowledge of design tools such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Canva, Photoshop, or similar is an advantage
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail and e-commerce environment
