Job Description
HelpMum is seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Research, Monitoring and Evaluation to lead our research efforts. This pivotal role involves designing, executing, and disseminating high-quality research that will directly inform HelpMum’s programs, products, and policy engagement.
You will be responsible for developing and implementing the organization's research strategy, overseeing all aspects of qualitative and quantitative research studies, and ensuring ethical standards are met.
This position requires a strong leader who can collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, build partnerships, and translate complex data into actionable insights to drive our mission forward.

Required Skills
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HelpMum’s research strategy aligned with organizational goals
- Lead the design and execution of qualitative and quantitative research studies
- Oversee data collection, analysis, and interpretation to generate actionable insights
- Ensure research outputs meet ethical standards and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with program, product, and partnerships teams to integrate research into decision-making
- Publish findings in reports, policy briefs, and peer-reviewed journals
- Build and manage partnerships with academic institutions, NGOs, and research bodies
- Supervise and mentor research staff and consultants
- Support grant writing and donor reporting with strong evidence and data
Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master’s or PhD in Public Health, Epidemiology, Social Sciences, or a related field
- Minimum of 5–7 years of relevant research experience, preferably in the health sector
- Strong experience in research design, data analysis, and impact evaluation with strong evidence
- Proven track record of publications or research dissemination
- Familiarity with ethical research standards and approval processes
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
