Job Description

ForXers is seeking a talented Video Editor to join their team in Abuja, Nigeria, offering a hybrid work arrangement.

This role is critical for crafting compelling narratives and ensuring high-quality video content that resonates with audiences interested in financial literacy and forex education.

You will be responsible for the entire editing process, from raw footage to polished final product, focusing on storytelling, pacing, and professional audio quality.

Key Responsibilities

Watch raw footage and make decisions on content selection and order
Trim unnecessary seconds and pauses to create a compelling narrative rhythm
Structure edits around a clear arc: Hook, Problem, Solution, Proof, CTA
Ensure key messages are delivered within the first 3 seconds
Control edit pace to match content energy and platform attention spans
Edit for impact and allow moments to breathe as needed
Remove background noise and balance voice levels for clean audio
Layer music, sound effects, and audio cues intentionally
Ensure audio quality contributes significantly to perceived video quality

Qualifications

BSc/HND in any discipline
NYSC Certificate
Minimum of 1 year work experience
Strong entrepreneurial mindset
Persuasive sales ability
Excellent team spirit
Proven experience in video editing
Strong portfolio showcasing real work (Reels, TikToks, YouTube edits, brand videos)
Experience editing content for personal brands, education brands, or fintech companies (Bonus)
Ability to create motion graphics and basic animations (Bonus)
Genuine interest in financial literacy, trading, or the forex education space (Bonus)
