Job Description
The Planned Parenthood Federation of Nigeria (PPFN) is seeking a dedicated Youth & Inclusion Officer to spearhead crucial ASRHR initiatives in Oyo State. This role is central to implementing impactful programs that empower adolescents and young people.
You will be responsible for coordinating Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) activities, fostering youth engagement through forums and dialogues, and ensuring the meaningful participation of diverse youth groups, including those who are marginalized or vulnerable. A key aspect of this role involves collaborating with service delivery points and partners to enhance youth access to essential SRHR services.
Your contributions will include collecting and reporting on program data, supporting monitoring efforts, and ensuring all activities adhere to stringent safeguarding, child protection, and gender equality standards. You will also play a role in advocacy efforts to improve youth-friendly policies and service environments.

Key Responsibilities
- Implement youth-focused and gender-responsive ASRHR interventions at state level.
- Coordinate and deliver Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) activities.
- Support peer education, youth engagement forums, and community dialogues.
- Ensure meaningful participation of adolescents and young people, including marginalized groups.
- Align state-level activities with national ASRHR strategies and standards.
- Adapt national tools, guidelines, and approaches to the State context.
- Coordinate with service delivery points, partners, and community structures.
- Collect, validate, and submit routine activity reports, data, success stories, and lessons learned.
- Support monitoring of ASRHR indicators.
- Participate in review meetings and adaptive management processes.
- Ensure all youth activities comply with safeguarding, child protection, and gender equality standards.
- Promote inclusive approaches for underserved youth groups.
- Support engagement with state ministries, agencies, schools, CSOs, and community leaders.
- Represent the project in relevant state-level meetings and youth platforms.
- Support advocacy efforts for youth-friendly policies and service environments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Education, Social Sciences, Gender Studies, or a related field.
- 3–5 years’ experience implementing youth-focused or ASRHR/SRHR programmes at community or state level.
- Demonstrated experience delivering or coordinating Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) programmes.
- Strong understanding of adolescent development, gender equality, and youth engagement approaches in Nigeria.
- Strong facilitation, coordination, and interpersonal skills, especially with adolescents and young people.
- Good understanding of gender-responsive and rights-based programming.
- Strong reporting and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently at state level while maintaining strong coordination with NHQ.
- Proficiency in basic data collection tools and MS Office applications.
- High level of professionalism, cultural sensitivity, and commitment to ASRHR principles.
