About the Company

Circo is building the essential infrastructure layer for the creator economy across Africa and emerging markets. The platform operates as a multi-sided marketplace, requiring seamless integration of creator supply, buyer demand, monetization strategies, and go-to-market (GTM) systems. At its current stage, Circo's primary growth challenge is not about increasing traffic or brand awareness, but rather about achieving revenue scalability through robust systems.

The company's philosophy is that growth is achieved by systematically removing constraints that prevent revenue from scaling. This involves a deep focus on engineering GTM and monetization systems that are durable and efficient, ensuring the platform can grow without succumbing to chaos.

Job Description

Circo is seeking a strategic Revenue Operations Lead to own the company's end-to-end Go-to-Market (GTM) and monetization infrastructure. This role is fundamentally about engineering durable systems that drive revenue scalability, rather than focusing on individual campaigns or outreach volume.

Your primary mandate will be to identify the single biggest constraint preventing Circo from scaling revenue at any given time and to build the necessary systems to remove it. This involves working horizontally across Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Operations to design, implement, and automate systems that directly impact revenue outcomes.

Key responsibilities include developing SDR infrastructure for maximum effectiveness, optimizing product-led GTM surfaces, defining creator supply quality and monetization readiness, and evolving GTM motions. You will leverage modern automation and data tools to drive experimentation and measurement, focusing on system design over tool selection.

This is a critical role for scaling revenue without scaling chaos, offering significant ownership and the opportunity to shape Circo's foundational monetisation engine.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify the single dominant revenue constraint at any point in time
  • Translate constraints into systems, not individual heroics
  • Maintain falsifiable growth hypotheses tied directly to revenue outcomes
  • Prioritize initiatives based on leverage, not effort
  • Rapidly sunset low-leverage initiatives in favor of higher-impact systems
  • Own the infrastructure that enables Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) to operate effectively and efficiently
  • Design, ship, automate, and retire systems that materially impact revenue outcomes
  • Define what constitutes a “viable creator” on Circo
  • Design, operate, and sunset assisted GTM motions
  • Design and operate GTM systems using modern automation and data tools
  • Improve monetisation outcomes across time-to-first-revenue, SDR-assisted conversion rates, repeat buyer rates, and revenue per creator cohort
  • Define success metrics tied directly to revenue and system performance
  • Build decision-grade dashboards, not activity reports
  • Convert learnings into repeatable GTM and SDR playbooks

Qualifications

  • 5–8+ years in growth, product, GTM, revenue operations, or systems-driven roles
  • Proven experience building GTM or SDR infrastructure from zero
  • Comfortable designing systems before hiring people
  • Strong analytical thinking with an execution bias
  • Experience with marketplaces, creator platforms, fintech, or monetisation-heavy products is a strong plus
  • High tolerance for ambiguity, broken processes, and incomplete tooling

Benefits & Perks

  • Flexible, globally competitive compensation structure
  • Salary Range (Full-Time): USD $8,000 – $12,000 per annum (net)
  • Long-term incentive options available for senior hires
  • Hybrid, remote-first working model
  • Flexible working hours and high autonomy
  • Direct access to the CEO and leadership team
  • Budget for tools, software, and professional resources
