Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Logistics Officer to join our dynamic team and drive operational excellence.

In this critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our logistics functions, ensuring the seamless and cost-effective movement of goods. Your expertise will be vital in managing inbound and outbound shipments, negotiating favorable rates with logistics partners, and maintaining precise tracking of all assets.

You will develop comprehensive reports on material and personnel movements, create operational procedures, and ensure compliance with all company policies. Your contribution will be key to guaranteeing timely deliveries and maintaining high standards of service for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage logistics operations and assets for timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Negotiate prices with logistics companies and freight forwarders for optimal rates.
  • Arrange shipment arrangements for inbound and outbound logistics.
  • Handle all shipment clearances efficiently.
  • Develop reports on product/material movements and operational logistics issues, updating stakeholders on shipment status.
  • Develop logistics and support plans, including budget requirements and timelines for new operations.
  • Create operational procedures and method statements.
  • Develop reports on material/products and personnel movements, addressing operational logistics problems.
  • Design and implement standard operating methods for efficient logistics management.
  • Comply with all applicable Company directives, policies, and procedures.
  • Monitor material movement to prevent damage to works, workforce, or the public.
  • Ensure customers receive products in a timely manner and good condition.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and respond to their requirements.
  • Coordinate and present logistics support to ongoing operations.
  • Identify and address any added logistics training requirements to maintain high working standards.
  • Support the implementation of HSE initiatives, participate in safety awareness activities, and contribute to incident reporting and resolution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or any related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience.
  • 3 years of relevant working experience.
  • 2 years of experience in the GCC region is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Import documentation and export documentation.
  • Knowledge of logistics (inbound/outbound) Operations.
  • Good communication skills, with experience of communicating cross-culturally.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and other related software.
  • ERP knowledge, preferably SAP functional skills.
