Job Description
We are seeking a diligent Engineering Storekeeper to manage our inventory and ensure the efficient flow of materials.
Your primary responsibility will be to receive, store, and accurately account for all materials that enter the engineering department. This includes carefully checking waybills, verifying approved quantities, and promptly noting any shortages.
You will be tasked with raising Goods Received Notes (GRL) and other necessary documents to maintain precise record-keeping. Maintaining stock control records for both receipts and issues, and conducting monthly reconciliations with system records, will be a key part of your role.
In emergency situations, you may accept I.O.U.s, provided they are authorized by the Stock Controller or Sectional Manager. You will also be responsible for arranging the stores in an orderly manner to facilitate easy checking, reporting any shortages or low stock levels immediately.
Maintaining general cleanliness within the stores and its surroundings is essential. You will input all daily receipts and issues into the computer system, ensuring accurate item referencing.
This role also involves contributing to the provision and maintenance of safe working conditions, effective communication with supervisors, and upholding Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment (OH&S) standards, as well as Quality Management System (QMS) principles like ISO 9001:2015 and GMP.
