Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Tender Specialist to join our dynamic Business Development team in Lagos.

In this crucial role, you will be instrumental in identifying, preparing, and submitting competitive bids and tenders. Your expertise will ensure our submissions are not only timely and compliant but also of the highest quality, significantly enhancing our success rate in securing valuable contracts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and identify relevant tender opportunities from government, private sector, and international sources
  • Review tender documents to understand scope, requirements, and evaluation criteria
  • Coordinate with internal departments (technical, finance, legal, procurement) to gather required inputs
  • Prepare and compile high-quality technical and commercial proposals
  • Ensure all submissions comply with client specifications, regulatory requirements, and company standards
  • Manage timelines to ensure timely submission of bids and supporting documentation
  • Liaise with partners, OEMs, and subcontractors where necessary for bid inputs
  • Conduct cost analysis and support pricing strategy in collaboration with finance/commercial teams
  • Maintain a database of tenders, submissions, and outcomes for tracking and analysis
  • Participate in post-bid reviews to improve future tender performance
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and clients

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, or related field
  • Minimum of 3–7 years’ experience in tendering, bidding, or proposal management (preferably in oil & gas, construction, or engineering services)
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes and contract documentation
  • Excellent writing, editing, and document management skills
  • Strong analytical and commercial acumen
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
