Job Description

Akido is seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Project Manager to lead impactful IT initiatives within a rapidly growing healthcare and technology environment. This role is crucial for developing a high-leverage, automation-driven IT organization, utilizing AI tooling, scripting, and workflow orchestration platforms to enhance efficiency.

You will be responsible for managing projects related to identity and access management, automating ticketing systems, ensuring HIPAA compliance, overseeing infrastructure upgrades, and preparing clinical IT systems. This position requires close collaboration with the Director of IT, clinical operations, compliance, and engineering teams to deliver scalable, secure, and automated systems that support both providers and patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead IT automation initiatives using Windmill, n8n, Power Automate, Azure Automation, or equivalent tools to eliminate manual work and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Manage projects across Microsoft 365, Azure, Active Directory, and identity lifecycle workflows.
  • Implement and optimize ticketing system automations (Zendesk or equivalent), including routing, AI-assisted triage, and reporting.
  • Drive projects supporting HIPAA compliance, annual Security Risk Assessments (SRAs), user access reviews (UARs), onboarding and offboarding automation, and security remediations.
  • Coordinate cross-functional IT programs with clinical, compliance, engineering, and global IT teams.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, KPIs, dashboards, and communication cadences.
  • Support procurement, vendor management, and deployment of IT tools and platforms.

Qualifications

  • 5–8+ years of IT project management experience, with strong experience leading automation-focused IT projects.
  • Background in healthcare IT, including HIPAA compliance and clinical support environments.
  • Experience with automation platforms (Windmill, n8n, Power Automate, Azure Automation, Zapier, etc.) and familiarity with scripting (PowerShell, Python, JavaScript).
  • Strong recent experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, and Active Directory.
  • Track record of improving IT operations through workflow automation, KPI/SLA design, and ticketing system optimization.
  • Excellent communicator with strong documentation, planning, and cross-functional coordination skills.
  • Experience with Asana, Jira and other project management tools.
  • PMP, CSM, or ITIL certifications preferred.
  • Based in Los Angeles (preferred) or remote within the U.S.
