Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Full Stack Web Engineer to join our globally distributed team. In this role, you will be a key contributor to developing sophisticated WordPress solutions for a diverse range of clients.

You will engage directly with clients, providing expert consultation on complex technical challenges and ensuring project requirements are met with precision. Your responsibilities will include building and maintaining enterprise-level WordPress plugins, themes, and custom Gutenberg blocks, leveraging your expertise in PHP and React.js.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide consultation to clients and internal teams on complex full-stack issues.
  • Build and maintain complex WordPress plugins, themes, and custom Gutenberg blocks using PHP and React.js.
  • Support and enhance public product offerings like ElasticPress.io and SiteWatch.
  • Debug and improve legacy systems and databases.
  • Manage multiple concurrent client projects, switching contexts daily while maintaining quality and efficiency.
  • Participate actively in client meetings, respond to tickets, and clarify requirements.
  • Maintain strong live communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Effective communicator, able to explain technical concepts in client-friendly terms.
  • Proficient in PHP and frontend development.
  • Experienced with WordPress, Gutenberg block development, and React.js.
  • Skilled at debugging, optimizing legacy codebases, and navigating complex database structures.
  • Adaptable, organized, and comfortable managing a high workload and switching between multiple clients.
  • Self-starter and ongoing learner, eager to tackle emerging technologies.
