Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior WordPress/Shopify Developer to join our growing Web Operations team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere.
In this role, you will be responsible for architecting and implementing scalable, secure, and high-performance web solutions. You will lead development efforts, conduct code reviews, and mentor junior developers, setting a high standard for technical excellence. Your expertise will be crucial in defining and enforcing technical standards, ensuring code quality, security, and long-term maintainability.
You will collaborate closely with product managers and designers to translate requirements into a clear technical roadmap. Additionally, you will oversee website hosting, domain management, and infrastructure, with a strong focus on performance, security, and uptime. You will also lead the implementation of technical and on-page SEO best practices to enhance search rankings.
We are looking for a proactive problem-solver who can identify and resolve complex issues across various browsers and devices, while staying current with emerging web technologies and bringing fresh ideas to the team.

Required Skills
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of developers, providing guidance and conducting code reviews.
- Architect and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance web solutions using WordPress, PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Define and enforce technical standards and best practices for code quality, security, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with product managers and designers to define project scope and technical roadmaps.
- Manage website hosting, domain management, and infrastructure for performance, security, and uptime.
- Design, develop, and maintain custom WordPress, Shopify, and Webflow websites.
- Lead the implementation of technical and on-page SEO best practices.
- Proactively identify and resolve complex issues across browsers and devices.
- Stay current on emerging web technologies and contribute innovative ideas.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience in WordPress and/or Shopify development.
- Deep proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Proven experience leading or mentoring a development team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to drive complex challenges to resolution.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of articulating technical decisions to diverse audiences.
- A true team player with a collaborative and feedback-positive attitude.
- Experience with SEO best practices and performance optimization.
- Proficiency in Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, and Google Search Console.
- Familiarity with hosting platforms such as Kinsta and WPEngine.
- Working knowledge of domain and DNS management (Cloudflare, GoDaddy, etc.).
