Bitoshi Africa is actively seeking a skilled Backend Developer with expertise in Node.js to join our dynamic Engineering team. Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services primarily using Node.js.
Build secure, well-documented APIs that seamlessly support both mobile and web applications.
Manage databases, implement authentication mechanisms, and develop core business logic.
Ensure high performance, reliability, and scalability across all services.
Collaborate effectively with frontend, mobile, and product teams to deliver features end-to-end.
Write clean, testable code and actively participate in architectural decisions.

Qualifications

3+ years of hands-on experience with Node.js backend development.
Strong understanding of APIs, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and server-side architecture.
Proven experience with authentication, security, and data protection best practices.
Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and deployment workflows.
A strong problem-solving mindset and meticulous attention to detail.
Experience in fintech, crypto, or financial systems (bonus).
Experience working with microservices or event-driven architectures (bonus).
Understanding of blockchain integrations or wallet infrastructure (bonus).
Proven ability to scale systems to thousands or millions of users (bonus).
