Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated On-site Engineer to join the Federal Government Green Agricultural Standardisation Demonstrations Zone Project.
In this vital role, you will be responsible for overseeing all construction activities on-site, ensuring projects are completed to the highest standards. You will act as a key liaison between local Nigerian authorities and the project team, facilitating clear communication and resolving any on-site challenges.
Your day-to-day will involve monitoring construction progress, providing essential technical guidance, and meticulously reporting and resolving issues identified during inspections. Collaboration with Chinese colleagues will be integral to preparing comprehensive technical documentation, including progress reports and completion files.

Required Skills
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with local Nigerian supervisory units and government authorities on construction techniques, on-site issues, and other matters.
- Assist supervisors in conducting on-site inspections.
- Manage daily on-site operations, including monitoring construction progress.
- Provide technical guidance to the on-site team.
- Report and resolve issues discovered during inspections.
- Collaborate with Chinese employees to prepare technical documentation such as technical briefings, progress reports, and completion files.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in civil construction or building construction projects.
- Must have technical management experience in civil/building construction.
- Preference for candidates with experience in local construction projects in Nigeria.
- Familiarity with local construction standards and supervision procedures.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Organizational management ability.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented, responsible, and adaptable to the construction site environment.
- Associate degree or higher in civil engineering, architectural engineering, or related fields.
- Proficient in English (listening, speaking, reading, writing), capable of independent communication with supervisory units.
- Gender not restricted, age between 30-40 years.
- Hold an engineer qualification certificate recognized in Nigeria.
- No adverse professional records.
