Job Description

Zila Construction Limited is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join our team in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos. This critical role involves overseeing the day-to-day operations on construction sites, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for supervising construction activities, coordinating with contractors and engineers, and ensuring strict adherence to health, safety, and building regulations. This is a full-time, on-site position that requires strong leadership and technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and manage all construction activities on-site.
Ensure compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and building codes.
Coordinate effectively with structural engineers, contractors, suppliers, and the project team.
Prepare and review construction schedules, work plans, and progress reports.
Monitor construction progress and implement corrective actions to address delays or issues.
Ensure all health and safety regulations are strictly adhered to.

Assist in budget management and cost control for the project.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Proven experience in supervising the construction of multi-story buildings.
Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety standards, and building codes.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural plans.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively under pressure.
