Job Description

ITEX, a prominent fintech leader in Nigeria, is seeking a highly experienced Chief Compliance Officer to establish and champion the company's compliance framework. This executive position is critical for ensuring adherence to all legal and regulatory requirements, thereby safeguarding ITEX's integrity and reputation.

As the Chief Compliance Officer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive compliance programs across the organization. Your leadership will drive a culture of ethical conduct and regulatory excellence, essential for sustained growth in the fintech sector.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement the company's overall compliance strategy.
Oversee the design and execution of compliance programs across all business units.
Ensure adherence to all relevant national and international regulations.
Manage relationships with regulatory bodies and external auditors.
Lead investigations into compliance breaches and implement corrective actions.
Provide strategic guidance on compliance matters to the board and senior management.
Foster a strong culture of compliance and ethical conduct throughout the organization.
Stay abreast of evolving regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Qualifications

Law degree or equivalent qualification.
10-15 years of progressive experience in compliance, legal, or risk management, with significant leadership experience in the financial services or fintech industry.
In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, AML/KYC, and data privacy laws.
Proven experience in developing and implementing enterprise-wide compliance programs.
Exceptional strategic thinking, leadership, and communication skills.
Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
