Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Head of Stores with specialized knowledge in steel manufacturing to oversee all aspects of inventory management.

This pivotal role involves ensuring stock accuracy, maintaining the integrity of our ERP system, and guaranteeing the continuous availability of critical materials while minimizing losses.

Key responsibilities include managing the receipt, storage, and issuance of materials, enforcing strict inventory controls, and conducting regular stock reconciliations.

You will also be responsible for generating comprehensive inventory reports and collaborating closely with Operations, Procurement, and Finance teams.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee receipt, storage, issuance, and documentation of materials, spares, and consumables.
Maintain real-time inventory records on ERP (Microsoft Dynamics NAV or similar).
Enforce inventory controls, audit compliance, and stock reconciliation processes.
Monitor stock levels to prevent shortages, overstock, and obsolescence.
Generate periodic inventory and variance reports.
Partner with Operations, Procurement, Accounts, and Audit on controls and planning.
Lead and supervise store staff and safety compliance.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain, or related fields.
12+ years in stores/inventory within manufacturing (Steel only)
5–7 years in steel/TMT/melting plant store operations
Experience working with audit and finance teams
Must be willing to relocate!
ERP/Navision proficiency preferred
Technical: Inventory control, ERP reporting, audit compliance, stock analytics
Soft: Leadership, communication, problem-solving, analytical thinking.
