Job Description

Rivy is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst Intern to join our dynamic team during your mandatory NYSC service year. In this role, you will play a crucial part in leveraging data to drive strategic decisions across our organization, from credit scoring and portfolio management to customer acquisition and operational enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, clean, and analyze data from various sources, including loan performance, customer behavior, and repayment patterns.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using tools such as Excel, Google Sheets, Metabase, or Power BI.
  • Write SQL queries to extract data from PostgreSQL databases.
  • Support credit and collections teams with portfolio analysis and risk reporting.
  • Identify key trends, anomalies, and opportunities within business data.
  • Present data findings to stakeholders and assist in translating insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Respond to ad-hoc analysis requests from leadership and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

  • Currently serving or about to commence NYSC.
  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and Conditional Formatting.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL or a strong willingness to learn quickly.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to manage large datasets effectively.
  • Humble, coachable attitude with a strong sense of ownership and a drive to learn.
  • Effective communication skills, capable of explaining complex data in simple terms.
