Geoplex Drillteq Limited is seeking a qualified Legal Officer to join our team in Port Harcourt. This critical role ensures that our operations in the oil and gas industry are conducted in full compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. You will be responsible for providing expert legal advice, managing contractual agreements, and advising on a wide range of legal and compliance matters. Required Skills
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and counsel to management and various departments.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Manage and oversee litigation and dispute resolution processes.
- Conduct legal research and prepare legal opinions.
- Advise on corporate governance and compliance matters.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from a reputable institution.
- Called to the Nigerian Bar.
- Minimum of 5 years of post-call experience in corporate law.
- Proven experience in the oil and gas industry is essential.
- Strong understanding of contract law, corporate law, and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent analytical, research, and drafting skills.
