Job Description

We are seeking a driven SME Lending & Partnerships Officer with a strong credit background and a proven ability to meet sales targets.

This role is based across Ibadan, Lagos, and Abuja, offering a competitive salary of #175,000, plus commission and HMO benefits.

Your primary responsibilities will include sourcing and onboarding SME customers requiring equipment financing, managing the entire sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure.

You will assess customer eligibility by analyzing financial and operational data, and collaborate with the credit team to structure viable financing solutions.

Building and managing a robust pipeline of prospects, developing strategic partnerships, and consistently exceeding monthly disbursement and revenue targets are key to success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source and onboard qualified SME customers in need of equipment financing
  • Drive end-to-end sales: lead generation, engagement, credit profiling, and deal closure
  • Assess customer eligibility by gathering and interpreting financial and operational data
  • Work closely with the credit team to structure viable financing deals
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of prospects across target sectors
  • Develop partnerships & onboard dealers, distributors, and ecosystem players
  • Meet and exceed monthly disbursement and revenue targets
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and pipeline in CRM tools
  • Provide market feedback to inform product and risk decisions

Qualifications

  • 3–6+ years experience in lending, asset finance, or fintech sales
  • Proven track record of closing loan or financing deals
  • Strong understanding of credit, risk assessment, and loan structuring
  • Experience working in a fintech, microfinance bank, or digital lender
  • Ability to engage SME business owners and understand their cashflow
  • Strong negotiation and relationship management skills
  • Highly driven, target-oriented, and comfortable with fieldwork
  • Experience in the food or fashion sectors (strong advantage)
  • Existing network within SME ecosystems, vendor networks, or trade clusters
  • Familiarity with lease-to-own or asset-backed lending models
