Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join our dynamic team at Dangote Industries Limited. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and constant availability of our organization's Local and Wide Area Networks (LAN & WAN). You will analyze network performance, provide comprehensive support to all users, and expertly resolve issues across TCP OSI layers 1 to 4.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain network installation, circuit integration, network equipment maintenance, and operations.
  • Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot L2 and L3 network issues.
  • Prepare monthly network availability reports.
  • Maintain the network infrastructure by troubleshooting problems with Firewalls, routers, switches, wireless controllers, and wireless access points.
  • Create Bills of Materials (BOM) for new, faulty, and End-of-Life (EOL) network devices.
  • Implement software upgrades or patches on network-related devices.
  • Maintain records of network activity, including logs of user activity and system performance metrics.
  • Facilitate Change Management requests and execution according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) or Method of Procedures (MOP).
  • Ensure network documentation is kept up-to-date.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (B.Sc.) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of relevant working experience.
  • Possession of Cisco and Networking certifications, such as CCNP, Fortinet NSE4, and Palo-Alto PCNSE.
  • Experience working with networking protocols, including TCP/IP, IPsec, DMVPN, GRE, VxLAN, VRRP, OSPF, and EIGRP.
  • Proficiency in Unified Threat Management (UTM) Solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills.
