Job Description

An organization is seeking a Communications and Content Manager to lead its communications function, develop strategic messaging, manage stakeholder engagement, and strengthen public visibility through high-quality institutional content.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement communications strategies aligned with organizational goals
  • Produce high-quality content including reports, press releases, briefing notes, executive communications, and stakeholder materials
  • Ensure consistency and clarity of messaging across all communication channels
  • Lead communications for engagements with government agencies, development partners, and key stakeholders
  • Prepare meeting briefs, engagement reports, presentations, and outreach materials
  • Support donor and partner communications where required
  • Build and maintain relationships with media professionals across print, digital, and broadcast platforms
  • Coordinate media engagements, journalist briefings, and press events
  • Strengthen organizational visibility and reputation within healthcare and development sectors
  • Develop and execute communication plans and content calendars
  • Produce newsletters, impact reports, publications, and institutional content
  • Support creation of presentations and visual communication materials
  • Manage external vendors including designers, consultants, and web service providers
  • Provide editorial guidance and quality assurance for communication outputs
  • Coordinate multimedia projects and oversee content production activities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or related field
  • 4–7 years’ experience in communications, public affairs, PR, or related roles
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and content development skills
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders across government, NGOs, corporate or development institutions
  • Strong understanding of Nigeria’s public sector, healthcare, or development landscape
