Job Description

ITMAfrica is urgently seeking an IT Support professional to join our team in Abuja.

This role is responsible for the day-to-day technical stability of our IT systems, ensuring smooth operations and robust security measures.

Key responsibilities include deploying and maintaining server infrastructure (both cloud and on-premise), managing endpoint security, and conducting regular system audits. You will diagnose and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, and networks, and oversee the procurement and inventory of IT assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the deployment and maintenance of server infrastructure (Cloud - AWS/Azure and On-premise).
  • Enforce all necessary standards across all IT systems.
  • Manage endpoint security (Antivirus, Firewall, MFA) for all staff across all departments.
  • Conduct regular system audits and vulnerability assessments.
  • Oversee the procurement and inventory of hardware (Laptops, Servers, Printers)
  • Mentor and scale the IT support team as the company grows.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to hardware (desktops, laptops, printers, peripherals), software, networks, and operating systems (Windows, macOS, etc.).
  • Install, configure, and upgrade computer hardware, software, and operating systems.

Qualifications

  • BSc in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in IT support, help desk, or a similar role (entry-level candidates with relevant certifications are welcome).
  • Deep knowledge of Core Banking Systems (CBS) and Payment Gateways.
  • Proficiency in Linux/Windows Server administration.
  • Experience with Cloud Infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP).
  • Understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, VPNs, VLANs).
  • Familiarity with networking basics (TCP/IP, VPN, Wi-Fi) and Active Directory.
  • Relevant certifications preferred: CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified Professional, or ITIL Foundation.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity basics and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Zendesk).
