Job Description

MoMo Payment Service Bank is seeking a Specialist in International Remittance, functioning as a Product Manager, to drive the development and delivery of its intra-Africa remittance product strategy.

In this role, you will be responsible for translating the product vision into detailed user stories, managing the product backlog, and collaborating with Agile delivery teams to ensure prompt execution of prioritized features. You will play a key part in identifying growth opportunities, designing product roadmaps, and supporting the technical feasibility assessment of new offers.

Your responsibilities will include developing periodic reports on implementation status and product performance metrics, contributing to product design, commercial models, and Go-To-Market strategies. You will also provide essential support to MoMo PSB in implementing and managing intra-Africa remittance products and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the Intra Africa remittance products portfolio.
  • Convert product vision into detailed user stories and epics for the Agile delivery team.
  • Implement strategic objectives for the remittances vertical.
  • Support the management and monitoring of projects and offers from feasibility to market launch.
  • Identify growth opportunities and design product roadmaps in line with strategy.
  • Attend technical feasibility assessment meetings.
  • Develop and provide periodic reports on implementation status and product performance.
  • Participate in product design, contract negotiation, commercial model development, GTM strategies, process definition, systems integration, partnerships, and implementation.
  • Support MoMo PSB with the implementation of Intra Africa Remittance products and services.
  • Manage the Intra Africa Remittance product development, business plan, and product offers.
  • Coordinate product design, development, testing, and release with stakeholders, including other Opcos.
  • Contribute to the development of Go-To-Market strategies for new products or enhancements.
  • Contribute to the development of product vision, roadmap, and growth opportunities.
  • Assess value, develop business cases, and prioritize stories, epics, and themes.
  • Provide backlog management, iteration planning, and elaboration of user stories.
  • Facilitate prompt delivery of prioritized product feature backlogs and development.
  • Research and analyze the regional market, users, competitors, and industry trends.
  • Stay abreast of Agile/Scrum best practices and new trends.

Qualifications

  • First degree in any related discipline or its equivalent in area of specialization.
  • Relevant post-graduate qualification may be an added advantage.
  • 3-7 years of experience, including in Fintech/Financial Services.
  • At least 2 years of experience in Remittance Product/Service Management.
  • Experience with Agile delivery and Development Operations frameworks.
  • Experience working in a medium to large organization.
  • Experience with Scrum and Agile Software Development Methodology.
  • Understanding of emerging markets is advantageous.
  • Pan-Africa multi-cultural experience is advantageous.
