Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cardiology Nurse to join our esteemed medical team.

Required Skills
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to patients with cardiac conditions including heart failure, hypertension, myocardial infarction, arrhythmias, and post-cardiac procedures.
- Monitor cardiac rhythms using ECG machines and telemetry systems; interpret basic ECG traces and report abnormalities promptly.
- Administer cardiac medications, IV therapies, and emergency drugs as prescribed.
- Assist cardiologists during consultations, echocardiograms, stress tests, and other cardiac procedures.
- Perform wound care, IV cannulation, and other clinical procedures specific to cardiac patients.
- Educate patients and families on heart-healthy lifestyle, medication adherence, risk factor modification, and disease management.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in line with hospital protocols.
- Respond promptly to cardiac emergencies and participate in life-saving interventions (CPR, defibrillation, etc.).
- Collaborate effectively with cardiologists, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ensure strict adherence to infection prevention, patient safety, and cardiac care protocols.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Nursing Science (B.N.Sc.) or Registered Nurse (RN) qualification from a recognized institution.
- Valid practicing license from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
- National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) certificate (completed) where applicable.
- Minimum of 2–3 years post-qualification experience, with at least 1 year in cardiology, CCU, or critical care.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is an added advantage.
