About the Company

Reduzer is a forward-thinking company focused on developing sophisticated administrative portals for enterprise clients. They are committed to transforming complex user experiences into intuitive and professional products. The company values innovation, collaboration, and the creation of high-quality software solutions. They foster an environment where designers can take ownership and significantly impact product development.

Job Description

Reduzer is seeking an experienced Product Designer to take the lead in shaping our sophisticated admin portal for enterprise clients.

This is a unique opportunity to own the design system and product design from inception. You will be the sole designer embedded within a 5-person development team, responsible for establishing design standards, building a comprehensive design system, and transforming a fragmented user experience into a cohesive, professional product. Your work will directly influence how enterprise users interact with critical business tools.

If you are a designer who thrives on complex challenges, enjoys close collaboration with engineers, and is ready to grow into a design leadership role, this position offers significant impact and autonomy. You will have the freedom to make strategic design decisions while working hand-in-hand with the development team to bring your vision to life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain a comprehensive design system from scratch, including token architecture, reusable components, usage guidelines, and documentation in Figma.
  • Design screens, user flows, and information architecture for multiple admin portal modules, addressing current inconsistencies in typography, spacing, buttons, and layout patterns.
  • Build and manage a Figma component library with advanced features including auto-layout, component variants, and design tokens to enable scalable, maintainable design.
  • Establish a design governance process and design review workflow to ensure design standards are enforced throughout development and maintained consistently across the product.
  • Work embedded with the 5-person development team, conducting design handoffs, reviewing code implementations for design accuracy, and providing detailed specifications and interactive prototypes.
  • Audit the current state of the admin portal, document existing UI patterns across Flutter and Dash/Plotly implementations, and identify design system priorities based on tech constraints.
  • Propose and implement UX improvements for user flows and information architecture, particularly for complex data-heavy interfaces and admin workflows.
  • Document all design decisions, design system standards, and best practices to ensure knowledge is retained and the system remains scalable as the product grows.
  • Enforce design standards diplomatically but firmly during QA and code reviews, ensuring implementations match specifications and maintaining visual and interaction consistency.
  • Train the development team on design system usage, design tokens, and design principles to build design literacy across the engineering organization.

Qualifications

  • Expert-level proficiency with Figma, including component libraries, auto-layout, design tokens, variant management, and advanced prototyping.
  • Deep, practical understanding of Material Design 3 principles and demonstrated ability to implement Material Design 3 standards effectively.
  • Strong knowledge of design system architecture, token-based design, and component-driven design workflows.
  • Proficiency in creating interactive prototypes and detailed hand-off specifications that developers can implement with precision.
  • Solid understanding of responsive design principles and ability to design for multiple screen sizes and contexts.
  • Familiarity with modern design tools and workflows, including version control concepts as applied to design systems.
  • Minimum 4-7 years of professional UX/Product Design experience with a strong portfolio demonstrating design system work.
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining design systems (not just consuming existing systems) from initial audit through implementation and governance.
  • Demonstrated experience working embedded with engineering teams, collaborating closely on implementation and design enforcement.
  • Background working on B2B SaaS or enterprise products with complex user interfaces and data-heavy dashboards.
  • Preferably some experience in startup or fast-paced environments where you've worn multiple hats and made strategic design decisions independently.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate design decisions, defend design rationale, and present ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Diplomatic but firm approach to design governance; able to maintain standards while building buy-in and collaboration with the engineering team.
  • Proactive problem-solver who identifies blockers early, surfaces concerns, and proposes solutions rather than waiting for direction.
  • Collaborative mindset with genuine enjoyment of working closely with engineers and helping them understand the "why" behind design decisions.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and consistency, coupled with pragmatism about implementation constraints.
  • Self-directed and independent, able to manage design work across multiple modules while maintaining overall system coherence.
  • Familiarity with Flutter development constraints, capabilities, and best practices for mobile and cross-platform design (Nice to Have).
  • Hands-on experience designing data-heavy interfaces such as dashboards, data tables, analytics views, and complex information hierarchies (Nice to Have).
  • Exposure to Plotly, Dash, or similar data visualization and analytics tools (Nice to Have).
  • Experience with design tokens and CSS/code fundamentals that help bridge the gap between design and development (Nice to Have).
