Job Description

Spalding Consulting, Inc., a Saalex Company, is seeking a dedicated Product Owner with expertise in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) to join our team in Lexington Park, MD. We are a professional services firm renowned for delivering advanced solutions to the Department of Defense, focusing on areas such as software development, IT, program management, and financial management.

This is a temporary role offering a competitive annual salary range of $115k-$135k, commensurate with experience. While the position is primarily remote, there are on-site requirements for onboarding and potential tasking in Patuxent River, MD, particularly for local candidates. Virtual onboarding is available for out-of-state applicants, and training will be conducted remotely.

As a Product Owner, you will be instrumental in developing and managing MBSE products that support the modeling of NAVAIR Logistic data and the maturation of naval aviation digital twins. You will collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure seamless software and hardware performance and compatibility, and maintain system models using MBSE tools like Cameo.

The ideal candidate will possess 1-3 years of experience in systems engineering and a strong understanding of model-based systems and digital engineering processes. Familiarity with MBSE tools such as Cameo, Magic Draw, or Rhapsody is essential. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Math, or a related technical field is required. Candidates must also be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance, which necessitates US Citizenship and a security investigation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage MBSE products and initiatives that support modeling NAVAIR Logistic data and systems as they mature a digital twin of naval aviation.
  • Collaborate with other engineering teams in planning, design, and development of systems to ensure software and hardware performance and compatibility.
  • Maintain system model in Cameo model-based systems engineering tool.
  • Participate in design working group and technical interchange meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years experience with systems engineering and the utilization of model-based systems and digital engineering processes, principles, techniques, and procedures.
  • Understanding of model-based systems engineering tools such as Cameo, Magic Draw, Rhapsody, and/or other SysML modeling tools.
  • BS degree in Engineering, Math or relevant technical field is required.
  • Must be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.
