Job Description

The Youth Empowerment and Development Initiative (YEDI) is seeking a dynamic and experienced Program Manager to lead the impactful SCION Project.

This pivotal role involves designing, leading, and scaling innovative youth development programs that address critical challenges across Nigeria. You will be responsible for developing a comprehensive program strategy, managing a pilot initiative, and driving impactful projects in areas such as health, climate change, and economic empowerment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, lead, and scale a high-impact youth development initiative under the SCION Program.
  • Develop innovative programs addressing major youth challenges in Nigeria.
  • Implement and manage a pilot “proof-of-concept” project funded for the first six months.
  • Create a program strategy with clear goals, implementation plan, and measurable impact.
  • Lead initiatives aligned with focus areas such as health and sanitation, climate change, women’s empowerment, or youth unemployment.

Qualifications

  • University degree (BA/BSc/HND).
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in the nonprofit or social sector.
  • Applicants must be between 25 and 35 years old and based in Lagos.
  • Demonstrated experience working in at least one of the program focus areas.
  • Strong leadership, discipline, and passion for youth development.
  • Ability to present a scalable program idea that creates measurable impact.
