Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to spearhead the delivery of our innovative online reservation and table management platform. This is a critical role where you will own the end-to-end execution of our Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and subsequent development phases.

You will serve as the crucial link between our business, design, engineering, operations, and go-to-market teams, ensuring seamless collaboration and alignment. Your responsibilities will encompass defining and managing the product roadmap, meticulously maintaining the product backlog, orchestrating sprint planning, facilitating clear and consistent stakeholder communication, proactively identifying and mitigating risks, and ultimately guaranteeing the quality of our deliverables in a fast-paced startup environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate business goals into a clear MVP scope and a 12–24 month product roadmap
  • Define success metrics and measurement plans; build dashboards for leadership and investors
  • Own the product backlog: write clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and prioritization (value, risk, effort)
  • Plan and manage 2‑week sprints; forecast capacity; manage dependencies
  • Lead design, engineering, data, marketing, and operations to deliver features on time and with quality
  • Facilitate agile ceremonies (planning, demos, retros, standups as needed)
  • Proactively identify risks; maintain risk register; manage scope changes with clear trade‑offs
  • Coordinate with payment gateways, SMS/email/notifications, and other external partners
  • Ensure data privacy, security controls, and regulatory compliance for Nigeria (and regionally as applicable)
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Partnerships on launch readiness, onboarding playbooks, and partner communications
  • Define and monitor key metrics; provide regular executive updates and stakeholder reports
  • Maintain clear, accessible documentation of decisions, roadmaps, and learnings

Qualifications

  • 5–10+ years of Product/Project Management experience
  • 2+ years leading marketplace or consumer platforms
  • Demonstrated experience delivering MVPs to scale in a startup environment
  • Strong knowledge of Nigeria/EMEA market specifics, including local payments and data privacy regulations
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to influence without authority
  • Proven ability to translate business goals into actionable backlog and roadmaps
  • Comfort with both strategic thinking and hands‑on execution; strong problem‑solving and prioritization
  • Hospitality/food tech exposure; experience with restaurant reservations, waitlists, or POS integrations (Preferred)
  • Experience with payments/fintech integrations in Nigeria (Preferred)
  • Familiarity with data residency and local compliance guidelines (Preferred)
  • Basic product design literacy to collaborate effectively with designers (Preferred)
