Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for performing comprehensive professional accounting duties, encompassing the compilation, consolidation, and meticulous analysis of financial data.
Your expertise will be crucial in managing various accounting functions, including ledger maintenance, journal entry preparation, fixed asset and inventory accounting, and the generation of trial balances and financial statements. You will also play a key role in cost accounting and bank account reconciliations, ensuring the highest standards of financial accuracy and compliance.
This position demands daily financial oversight to guarantee that all financial records are complete, precise, and adhere strictly to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and internal policies. You will be instrumental in maintaining the integrity of our financial reporting and contributing to sound financial decision-making.

- Perform general or cost accounting activities requiring insight and depth of understanding.
- Apply accounting techniques and standard practices to the classification and recording of financial transactions.
- Ensure proper handling of financial transactions and approvals within designated limits.
- Assist immediate superior in the preparation of MIS reports, budgets, and forecasts.
- Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
- Ensure the accuracy of data contained on all Financial Reports, and that information is clear and concise.
- Ensure proficient use of delegated software.
- Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice.
- Ensure that records and analysis reflect the true and accurate measure of the business as presented in graphs and are available on a real-time basis.
- Establish tables of accounts, and record all entries to their proper accounts.
- Ensure that all entries are recorded to their assigned account numbers and that data is fluid and provides information as required.
- Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.
- Ensure that analysis reflects true and accurate data of actual costs versus budgeted costs.
- Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology.
- Ensure proficient use of assigned programs aiming at real-time availability of financial reports.
- Perform internal audits of accounts payable, payroll distribution, fixed assets, and cash.
- Make correcting journal entries in assigned areas, ensuring accuracy of audits and entries.
- Appraise, evaluate, and conduct inventory of real property and equipment, recording information such as the property's description, value, and location.
- Ensure accuracy of data presented in an inventory, and that property and equipment are all accounted for within the inventory.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounts and Finance
- Professional Qualification in Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)
- Minimum 5 years of working experience, with at least 3 years in a relevant role
- 2 years of GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) experience is a plus
