Job Description

Dobic Health is seeking a professional and welcoming Front Desk Officer to join our team on Lagos Island. This role is critical in ensuring a positive and efficient experience for all our patients from the moment they arrive.

Your key responsibilities will include warmly welcoming and attending to patients, managing the check-in and registration processes with efficiency, and accurately scheduling and confirming appointments using our EMR system, SmartMRS. You will be responsible for maintaining precise patient records and handling all necessary documentation.

The role also involves managing incoming calls and inquiries, conducting patient follow-ups, and ensuring all patient reviews are meticulously documented. You will act as a vital liaison between patients and medical staff to guarantee a seamless patient flow throughout the clinic.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome and attend to patients in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Manage patient check-in and registration processes efficiently.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments on our EMR system Smartmrs.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and handle documentation on our SmartMRS.
  • Handle incoming calls, inquiries, and patient follow-ups.
  • Ensure reviews are documented.
  • Liaise with medical staff to ensure seamless patient flow.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years’ proven experience working in a clinic or hospital setting (compulsory)
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc.) or M.Sc. in a health-related field (e.g., Public Health, Health Administration, or related discipline)
  • Good understanding of medical terminology and patient care processes
  • Must possess a strong medical background and strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude
  • Advanced computer proficiency (MS Office & EMR system)
  • Must reside on Lagos Island (strict requirement)
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations calmly.
