Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Logistics Supervisor to join our dynamic team in Saudi Arabia.

In this crucial role, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all logistics operations, ensuring the efficient transportation, distribution, and storage of goods and materials. You will lead a team of logistics professionals, including drivers and warehouse staff, to optimize productivity and achieve operational objectives.

Your responsibilities will include planning and scheduling logistics activities, monitoring inventory levels, and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness. You will play a vital part in ensuring the timely delivery of products, maintaining accurate records, and upholding strict safety and regulatory compliance standards within the logistics department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure effective and timely implementation of all Logistics daily operational goals.
  • Assist in developing logistics programs along with support plans, budget requirements, and organization timelines for new operations.
  • Maintain and manage relations with warehouses, carriers, customs brokers, and customers.
  • Negotiate and support logistics costs for 3rd party logistics providers, assisting yearly budget goals.
  • Ensure that all parties are working together to guarantee that shipments are packed, sent, and delivered in a timely manner.
  • Develop logistics programs along with support plans, budget requirements, and organization timelines for new operations.
  • Assist in the evaluation of potential logistic suppliers and appropriate delivery management booking systems.
  • Coordinate and present logistics support to ongoing operations.
  • Assist in developing and executing tools and methodologies to enable effective implementation of logistic plans.
  • Assist in designing and developing standard operating methods to manage logistics operations efficiently.
  • Plan or implement improvements to internal or external logistics systems or processes.
  • Comply with all applicable Company directives, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure the organization’s safety policies are strictly followed.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining logistic process documentation.
  • Establish and manage relations with warehouses, carriers, customs brokers, and customers.
  • Ensure customers receive their products/materials in a timely manner and good condition.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and respond to their requirements.
  • Develop methods of stock control, closely monitor warehousing management, and regularly submit situation reports on stocks, equipment, and prepositioned goods.
  • Plan site set-up to move labor, plant, and materials around site efficiently (e.g., hoarding, gates, site accommodation, cranes, hoists, security, temporary services, material delivery and waste management strategy, catering).
  • Plan internal and external logistics routes through the project phases, focusing on separation of vehicles, machinery, and people. Lay down areas and offloading points.
  • Pre-plan the usage of key assets such as hoists to ensure planned assets meet the needs of the program.
  • Support the implementation of HSE initiatives, participate in safety awareness activities, and contribute to incident reporting and resolution in alignment with company and IMS policies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain/Logistics related course.
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience.
  • 3 years of relevant working experience.
  • 2 years of GCC experience is a plus.
  • Thorough understanding of logistics principles, including transportation, inventory management, and supply chain operations.
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills to effectively oversee logistics personnel and coordinate day-to-day operations.
  • Excellent organizational abilities to plan and schedule logistics activities, optimize routes, and ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Proficiency in using logistics software and systems to track shipments, manage inventory, and analyze performance metrics.
  • Problem-solving skills to address logistical challenges, resolve issues, and implement process improvements for enhanced efficiency.
  • ERP knowledge, preferably SAP functional skills, is a requirement to be successful in this role.
