Job Description
The Programmer's University (TPU) is an innovative online tech school dedicated to empowering aspiring developers with the practical skills and confidence needed to launch successful careers. We are currently seeking a proactive and empathetic Developer Success Coach to join our team.
In this vital role, you will be the primary guide and support system for our applicants during their onboarding and prequalification phases. Your day-to-day will involve actively engaging learners in our online community channels, providing clear and timely answers to their questions, and conducting engaging onboarding and prep classes. You will ensure every applicant understands the TPU platform, curriculum expectations, and the deliverables required for success.

Required Skills
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily engagement in applicant community/group channels
- Answer applicant questions quickly and clearly in chat and live sessions
- Deliver onboarding classes and prep classes on schedule
- Help applicants understand TPU platform usage and learning flow
- Guide applicants through prequalification lessons, assessment, and deliverables
- Track applicant participation, progress, and completion status
- Proactively follow up with inactive applicants and re-engage them
- Escalate technical, payment, and operations blockers to relevant team members
- Collaborate with Operations Manager to improve applicant-to-paid conversion
- Provide weekly reports on onboarding metrics, friction points, and recommendations
- Maintain a supportive, motivating, and professional learner environment
- Improve onboarding scripts, class structure, and support workflows continuously
Qualifications
- 2+ years experience in teaching, coaching, student success, or learner support
- Strong beginner-friendly understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript fundamentals
- Excellent ability to simplify technical concepts for new learners
- Strong live teaching and facilitation skills (Zoom/Google Meet)
- Excellent written and spoken English communication
- Experience managing learning communities (WhatsApp, Slack, Discord, etc.)
- High empathy, patience, and learner-centered mindset
- Strong accountability and ability to work independently in a remote team
- Comfort with progress tracking tools, spreadsheets, and basic reporting
- EdTech, bootcamp, or online training experience is a strong plus
- Reliable internet connection, steady power, and a quiet workspace required
