Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior System Administrator to join a prominent, purpose-driven organization. This role is integral to supporting, securing, and optimizing resilient cloud services within a strictly regulated environment.
Your responsibilities will encompass the building, maintenance, and support of Azure infrastructure (IaaS/PaaS). You will be crucial in ensuring the security, compliance, and resilience of our platforms, including robust vulnerability management and security hardening.
The position involves managing hybrid Azure and on-premise environments, alongside Entra ID. You will also oversee backup, disaster recovery, and failover processes, and be responsible for monitoring and responding to security alerts and system events. Contributing to audits and compliance activities (PCI, Cyber Essentials) is a key aspect of this role.
Furthermore, you will identify opportunities to enhance cloud performance and cost efficiency, contribute to documentation and runbooks, and drive continuous service improvement within an ITIL-aligned framework.

Required Skills
Key Responsibilities
- Building, supporting, and maintaining Azure infrastructure (IaaS/PaaS)
- Ensuring security, compliance, and resilience across platforms, including vulnerability management and security hardening

Qualifications
- Proven experience in a senior infrastructure / sysadmin role
- Strong hands-on Azure experience
- Solid security experience, including vulnerability management and endpoint protection (e.g. Microsoft Defender)
- Experience with automation and scripting (PowerShell)
- Strong server administration across Windows/Linux environments
- Experience working in compliance-driven environments and supporting audits
- Confident communicator in a global operating environment
